Background
The Engineering - Facilities Division recommends approval of Change Order No. 1 for the decrease in the construction contract with Lee Lewis Construction, Inc. in the amount of $131,544.25 for 050 - Tom Muehlenbeck Recreation Center - Renovation, Project No. FAC-F-7525. This change does not amend the contract time from 434 calendar days.
Change Order No. 1 is a reconciliation of final project costs for contractual shared savings of project subcontractor buyout and unused contractor contingency.
If this change order is not approved, funds will remain allocated to the completed contract leaving them unavailable for utilization in other Tom Muehlenbeck Center Projects.
Financial Summary/Strategic Goals
This item approves a change in the contract with Lee Lewis Construction, Incfor construction services for the Tom Muehlenbeck Recreation Center - Renovation project. The first change order, reducing the current contract by $131,544, will leave the balance of funds available to be utilized in other improvements to the facility.
