Background

10th Street is a 26 to 40-foot-wide minor collector street running east-west between the northbound Central Expressway frontage road and L Avenue, with adjoining commercial, single-family residential, and multi-family residential land uses.

The DART Silver Line and the Cotton Belt Trail cross 10th Street just west of Iron Avenue. Vehicles parked on-street between the DART Silver Line tracks and Iron Avenue create unsafe sight visibility obstructions for motorists and Cotton Belt Trail users at this crossing.

The Engineering-Transportation Division has evaluated this location and recommends establishing "No Parking" zones along certain sections of 10th Street near Iron Avenue to eliminate these sight visibility obstructions and ensure safe and efficient movement for motorists, pedestrians, and cyclists.
