Previous Action/Presentation
The 2027 Legislative Program was reviewed by the Plano Legislative Committee on August 24, 2026. The 2027 Legislative Program was discussed to consider proposed priorities at the September 14, 2026, City Council Meeting during the Preliminary Open Meeting.
Background
To ensure that the City of Plano's needs are met during the 90th Legislative Session, a Legislative Program is created. The Legislative Program for 2027 will act as a guide during the Legislative Session, showing what priorities and positions the City will support or oppose. The purpose of the City's legislative efforts is to protect the City's interests by advocating for what is in the best interest of the Plano community. The items included in the 2027 Legislative Program will be communicated to members of Congress, the Texas Legislature, in general, and/or to the appropriate legislative committees, committee members, and others designated by the City Manager.
