Background

The Short-term Rental Registration Ordinance was originally adopted in April 2024.  During the two (2) years since its adoption, the Planning Department and Neighborhood Services Department have identified several minor amendments necessary to improve the administration and enforcement of the ordinance.  These amendments include clarifications to definitions and offense provisions to enhance transparency, promote consistent interpretation, and provide a clearer understanding of ordinance requirements.  Additionally, revisions to the rebate provisions are proposed to eliminate overlapping financial incentives and ensure equitable administration of the program.
