Previous Action/Presentation

The Plano City Council approved an expenditure in the amount of $374,800 for engineering professional services for G Avenue Paving and Water Improvements - 14th Street to 15th Street, Project ENG-CMB-00008, at is June 10, 2024, meeting.

Background

The City of Plano acquired the 1406 G Avenue property in November 2023 as part of the City’s land bank initiative. The Plano Police Department currently uses the building for equipment storage.

The G Avenue Paving and Water Improvements project plans call for the installation of a 10-foot-wide hike and bike trail along the east side of G Avenue. Designating approximately 14 feet of the 1406 G Avenue’s parcel frontage as public right-of-way will allow for the trail to be installed in compliance with the street design standards established for Downtown Plano.

This item was prepared in collaboration with the Engineering Department. Staff recommend adoption of this Resolution.
